Normanton to Mount Isa

Off again heading into more familiar country. I have always loved that beautiful, rugged country from Cloncurry to Mount Isa. We stayed at a couple of free camps on the way. One roadside & one at a lake.

Tomorrow we leave Mount Isa for Boulia & visions of the Min Min light, of which we intend on discovering the secret.

I just love the silver grey colour of the bush out here.

Video, roadside ant nests.

What a rip off shit hole.

And this is how it is maintained, yet everyone is buying fuel at the inflated price ????

Getting ready for the underground mine tour.

In front of the lift, just before descending.

Feeling the drill

At the blasting face.

In the underground emergency rescue pod.

In the crib room for a cup of tea and a pastie.
